In 2009, the Lemminkäinen Group generated net sales of EUR 2.0 billion with approximately 8,600 employees; about 25 percent of these are working abroad.
Lemminkäinen is a Finnish family enterprise established in 1910. Today, the Group operates internationally in all segments of the construction sector, supporting customers around the world in specialized fields of the construction industry, such as structural engineering, infrastructure construction, mechanical systems, and construction products.

LSE-System AG is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the ISO 14001:2004 environmental certification and sees its great efforts in terms of sustainability and environmental protection rewarded.
Following on from the ISO-9001:2001 certification for its quality management system a few years ago, the ISO 14001:2004 environmental certification is evidence that LSE-System AG meets the highest standards, not only in terms of product quality but also environmental awareness.
All LSE System AG operating areas and work processes were thoroughly checked and certified by the auditors from the Swiss Association for Quality and Management Systems SQS in accordance with the ISO standards.
With the description and implementation of the processes, every prerequisite for achieving an even better performance in terms of quality, safety and management of the environment have been put in place.
With the certified environmental management in accordance with ISO 14001:2004, LSE-System AG is now also documenting its commitment to sustainability and environmental protection. Environmentally-conscious corporate management aimed at conserving the natural resources, soil, air and water is a matter of course for LSE-System AG.
However, the main beneficiaries of the environmental management system are the consumers who now have a sustainability guarantee for the high quality products and services supplied by LSE System AG.
Annual audits and recertifications guarantee constant monitoring of all areas of the company. LSE-System AG is proud to have been awarded its second ISO certification at the first attempt. For the company, this award is also an obligation to continue maintaining these demanding goals in respect of the SQS guidelines in all corporate activities in the years to come.
